Guest reviews

Just recently (from 9 to 11 February) my husband and I stayed at Rinaldi Art in a comfortable room. We liked everything very much: staff who were pleasant to deal with, a cosy room and a lovely view of the Fontanka. Breakfast included my favourite croissants and incredibly tasty coffee, and my husband's breakfast could be warmed up in the microwave in the lobby. When we go travelling we always take our own hairdryer with us, but this time we forgot it. We asked at reception and they showed us where we could get one. They also recommended some interesting places worth visiting. All in all, we had a pleasant time in a good hotel at an affordable price. I recommend it!

We stayed for a few days at the ART hotel in August 2015. We liked the hotel very much. The room and the kitchen were clean and cosy. The staff were attentive.

We had room 207. Gorgeous view of the Fontanka River.
Pros:
- 500 metres to Nevsky, genuinely close to the city centre and to all the main sights, metro nearby.
- inexpensive
- you can come back late at night, they'll open the door for you :)
- kitchen, fridge, shared computer on each floor
- shower and toilet in the room (they make an unpleasant noise when the water drains away, but it's quite bearable),
- air conditioning and a fridge, TV (about 50 channels) in the room (superior room)
- the room was cleaned every day.

Cons:
- problems with the Wi-Fi, and you do need it sometimes to plan where to go.
- the window of superior room 207 looks out onto the Fontanka River embankment, with a two-lane road right in front of the window. The traffic is fairly heavy even at night; you won't be able to get to sleep with the window open.
- there's a shop with a cheap vodka bar under the window; one night we were woken by shrieks and squeals from the street.
- the hotel is in a residential building; one night someone upstairs cranked up their music.
- the most unpleasant thing is the floors: they creak. You're asleep, minding your own business, and suddenly it's as if someone is walking around in your room, when in fact it's someone walking down the corridor.

I saw some foreigners arrive at the hotel and basically felt a bit embarrassed for the girl on reception; she could at least brush up on some basic English :))

Despite all the cons I would come back here again, choosing a room with windows onto the courtyard and at the end of the corridor (fewer people walking past).

We stayed on the Fontanka from 7 to 9 January, but we wanted to stay on for one more night, which we managed to do without any problem with the help of the receptionist, Lyudmila.
The room is quite cosy and clean, with a big TV (the wardrobe was a bit broken, but that's a minor thing)... the water pressure in the shower is very decent and steady.... there's a kitchen, which is very convenient, with a kettle and a microwave..... the location is very convenient, a couple of minutes and you're on Nevsky... all in all, a good impression...... one small wish: smarten up the entranceway leading to the door of the mini-hotel itself, and the impression of the mini-hotel would be even better... but overall, many thanks, we had a good stay!
